The Greater Geelong Urban Growth Areas consist of 3 major housing areas defined by the City of Greater Geelong, as part of the G21 Regional Growth Plan¹ the region aims for population growth to 500,000 by 2050.  The key growth town-centres are Armstrong Creek, Lara West and Jetty Road (Drysdale).

Due to the City of Greater Geelong being categorised as a regional area city council, $20,000 FHOG (First Home Owners Grant) may be applicable for buying or building a new home at $750,000 or less², alongside the existing stamp duty concessions for first home buyers.
